What is an eFieldTrip? |
As eFieldTrip is a free
service provided by Distance Learning Integrators Inc. to students
and teachers allowing them to visit locations they would otherwise
be unable to see. All trips are interactive, and provide the opportunity
for students to complete a trip journal, as well as the chance to
chat with experts live.

How do we participate? |
To participate in an
eFieldtrip, you must first register for the trip you wish to attend.
You can browse all efieldtrips by selecting "Available eFieldTrips"
from the menu. Each trip homepage provides a link for registration.
By registering an eFieldTrips Passport, you are able to register for
a trip with just a few clicks of the mouse. Once you have registered,
your students are ready to take the eFieldTrip. All eFieldTrips require
Macromedia Flash Player: get
Flash Player here. |

If I miss the premiere date for an eFieldTrip, can I still participate
in the trip? |
An eFieldTrip
premiere date is the day that an eFieldTrip opens for use. You can
use the eFieldTrip for the remainder of the year after it premieres.
It is good to take the eFieldTrip early so you can participate in
the Ask The Expert and Live Chat that follow soon after the trip premiere.
The eFieldTrip journal is available the entire duration of the eFieldTrip.

When
I attempt to take an eFieldTrip I receive a blank screen, or nothing
happens. |
The eFieldTrips are designed to work with many of today's pop-up blockers,
but sometimes firewalls may interfere with participating in an eFieldTrip.
Disabling your firewall may allow you to view the eFieldTrip. New eFieldTrips also take advantage of
Macromedia Flash 8. In order to take these eFieldTrips, you need to make sure you have the latest updates from Macromedia.
You can check to see if you are ready to participate in an eFieldTrip here.

Can
I participate in an eFieldTrip at a different location than the one
I registered at? |
Once you have
registered, you can take the eFieldTrip anywhere that has access to
the internet and is not blocked by a firewall. |

I have
forgotten my password, but the one I recieve by email is unintelligible. |
Due to changes
in the server - if you registered before 11/02/04 your password may
be unreadable. If the password you receive is not the password you
registered with, click the link at the bottom of the email that will
allow you to set a new password for your account. |
